The EPEKA Association, in collaboration with members of the Roma community and photographer Jasmina Vidmar, prepared a photo exhibition entitled Views from Different Sides.
In the exhibition, they wanted to highlight the beauty of Romani women, show their proud attitude and the penetrating nature of their gestures. When looking at the portraits, no one will know whether any of them can’t read and write, or whether any of them got married by force of circumstances, because that is not important when accepting someone, getting to know them, giving them a chance. With the exhibition, they aim to make Roma women more visible, understood and accepted.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Wednesday, 25th of January 2023, at 1 p.m. in the vestibule of the Maribor Synagogue.
