The exhibition of the Synagogue Maribor “Here Is Where Death Worked Itself to Death…”: the Slovenian victims of Auschwitz will this time be displayed in the Tržič Museum.

The exhibition will be opened on 11th of January 2024 at 18:00. The exhibition will be presented by its author Boris Hajdinjak, director of the Maribor Synagogue. It will be on display in the Atrium Gallery of the Tržič Museum (Trg svobode 18, 4290 Tržič) until 5th of February 2024.

The exhibition tells about approximately 2,300 people from Slovenia who were taken to this camp. The majority were Slovenians, but among those deported there were also around 350 Jews, at least 78 Roma and at least one member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. For around 1,300 of them, Auschwitz is the place of death.
