On the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, 27th of January, on behalf of organizers from all over Slovenia as part of the Shoah – Let Us Remember 2022 project, we kindly invite you to commemorative and cultural events to remember the victims of the Holocaust and Nazi persecution.

The events, which started on 13 January in Kočevje, will also take place this year in Maribor, Ljubljana, Pivka, Ptuj, Lovrenc na Pohorju, Potrna (Laafeld) in Austria, and Lendava and Murska Sobota. This time the main memorial ceremony will be in Murska Sobota. A more detailed program of events can be found HERE.

The Shoah – Let Us Remember project also has a large number of Slovenian primary and secondary schools involved each year. The program of activities prepared for school youth at individual schools can be viewed HERE.

The organizers of the events reserve the right to change and cancel the program. Visitors are asked to follow current publications on the websites of individual organizers.

Attendance and participation in commemorative events, exhibition openings and other live activities will only be possible within the framework of existing measures to prevent the spread of covid-19 and subject to compliance with the RVT condition (recovered vaccinated tested). Access to virtual events and digital content will be available on websites and Facebook pages and other social networks of individual organizers. Visiting and viewing events is free of charge, and attendance to some programs must be announced in advance to the event organizer (listed for each event).
