You are cordially invited to the commemorative wreath-laying ceremony, which will be held on Wednesday, 26th of April 2023, at 10 a.m. at the Jewish cemetery in Dolga vas.

On 26th of April 79 years have passed since the day when the mass deportations of Jews from Prekmurje began, and like every year, we will pay tribute to the victims of the Nazi genocide by laying wreaths at the Jewish cemetery in Dolga vas near Lendava, and at the same time we will present two publications, related to the topic of Judaism in Lendava.

After the laying of wreaths at the Jewish cemetery, there will be a presentation of publications related to the topic of Judaism in the Lendava synagogue at 11 a.m. The following publications will be presented:

• Returning home: stolperstein stories of Lendava Jewish families, by the author Boris Hajdinjak and

• Never forget – in memory and reminder of the Holocaust and to promote tolerance and solidarity in the EU – a collection of conference texts within the framework of the Never Forget project.

The mayor of Lendava Municipality Janez Magyar, the director of the Lendava Gallery-Museum Dubravko Baumgartner, the director of the Center of Jewish Cultural Heritage Synagogue Maribor Boris Hajdinjak, and the manager of the Never Forget project for the Municipality of Lendava Tanja Šimonka will take part in the presentation.
