Center of Jewish Cultural Heritage Synagogue Maribor is once again joining the European Heritage Days project, coordinated in Slovenia by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia.

This year’s European Heritage Days in Slovenia will be dedicated to the theme “Good appetite!”, thus joining the activities on the occasion of Slovenia’s designation as the holder of the title European Gastronomic Region 2021.

From 25th of September to 9th of October, we kindly invite you to Synagogue Maribor on Židovska ulica 4 for open days and lectures by Maja Kutin, who will introduce us to the interesting and special features of Jewish food.

The open door days will take place from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 4 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 12 noon. As part of the open doors days, it will be possible to see the former Jewish synagogue and the documentary exhibition of the National Library of Israel “Dialogue” and the photographic exhibition of Dušan Gajšek “Behind the fog” free of charge. The exhibition of photographs by Dušan Gajšek is also part of the International Photography Festival Maribor 2021.
