Dachau – Mauthausen – Risiera di San Sabba – Jasenovac – Auschwitz

25. 01. 2017

Dachau, Mauthausen, Risiera di San Sabba, Jasenovac and Auschwitz are synonyms for some of the cruellest concentration camps of the Second World War. Behind the wire of these camps, several thousands of people lost their lives and today, among other things, as memorials they remind us of the necessity of respect for human rights and prevention of anti-Semitism, xenophobia and racism.

In cooperation with the Maribor City Library and the Salon of Applied Arts, we invite you to the presentation of modern virtual guides to the memorials of the former camps Dachau, Mauthausen, Risiera di San Sabba, Jasenovac and Auschwitz. With the combination of the geomapped presentation of the photographs and the spatial review of the locations, the virtual guides provide a detailed sightseeing of these cruel monuments of the Nazi and Ustashe persecution and with the gallery of the selected motifs, at the same time they warn: “Never again!”

The author of the virtual guides is multimedia creator, video blogger, musician, neurolinguistic programmer and journalist Mihael Toš.

The presentation of the guides will take place on Wednesday, 25 January, at 6 p. m. at the Salon of Applied Arts at Glavni trg 1, Maribor.
