Exhibition of the Biblical Archaeological Collection of the Theological Library of Maribor on the Occasion of the 50hm anniversary of the Unit in Maribor, Faculty of Theology, University of Ljubljana

The Biblical Archeological Collection of the Theological Library in Maribor is a unique collection in Slovenia. The collection mainly includes pottery and objects connected to everyday life and food, hence the title “From the desert to the table”: the desert in the title represents the nomadic way of living (nourishment) of the Israelites, and the table the way of living in the civilisation (permanent settlement).

Organisers of the exhibition are Center of Jewish Cultural Heritage Synagogue Maribor and Unit in Maribor, Faculty of Theology, University of Ljubljana. The exhibition was financially backed by Municipality of Maribor and Embassy of Israel.
