Unit in Maribor, Faculty of Theology, University of Ljubljana, and Center of Jewish Cultural Heritage Synagogue Maribor invite you to the opening of the exhibition From the desert to the table.

The Biblical Archeological Collection of the Theological Library in Maribor is a unique collection in Slovenia. The collection mainly includes pottery and objects connected to everyday life and food, hence the title “From the desert to the table”: the desert in the title represents the nomadic way of living (nourishment) of the Israelites, and the table the way of living in the civilisation (perminant settlement).

The exhibition with pictures of the archeological objects will be opened on Wednesday, 4 December 2019, at 12:00 in the lobby of the hall of Faculty of Theology, Poljanska 4, Ljubljana.

The collection and the exhibition will be presented by the exhibition’s author doc. dr. Samo Skralovnik. The exhibition will be on distpay until 31 March 2020.
