You are cordially invited to watch the online lecture of assoc. prof. dr. Marjeta Ciglenečki about Avguštin Stegenšek.

During the hosting of the photographic exhibition Terra Sancta 1910 in the Synagogue Maribor, the idea of ​​a lecture by assoc. prof. dr. Marjeta Ciglenečki with the title “Avguštin Stegenšek and his journey to the Holy Land in 1913” was born. Dr. Avguštin Stegenšek was a professor at Maribor theology. In 1913, he traveled independently to the Holy Land with specific study goals; he was interested in the topography of Jerusalem.

We wanted to hold the lecture live in the Synagogue Maribor, but in order to respect preventive measures to prevent and limit the spread of the covid-19 virus, we decided to hold it online.
