Dialogue

Dialogue

05. 09. 2021

Dialogue is one of the oldest and most basic ways of democratic conversation and is at the same time a path that not only leads to a peaceful and constructive life in a multicultural world, but also encourages the development of a sense of community and belonging.

Dialogue also occupies a very important place in Judaism, as in other cultures. On the occasion of this year’s European Days of Jewish Culture, which are dedicated to the theme of dialogue, the National Library of Israel has organized an occasional thematic exhibition in which dialogue is discussed and illuminated from five different perspectives: intergenerational dialogue, textual dialogue, community dialogue, cultures and dialogue between religions.

The authors of the texts are Olga Lempert and Zack Rothbart, and the translation of the exhibition texts into Slovene was provided by Marjetka Bedrač. The preparation of the Slovenian version of the exhibition was financially supported by the Municipality of Maribor.

The presentation of the exhibition will be on Sunday, 5th of September 2021, at 11:00. It will be possible to see it in the Maribor Synagogue until the end of 2021.
