We kindly invite you to the final conference of the international Never Forget project – Remembering the Holocaust and Building Tolerance and Solidarity in the EU.
The Never Forget international project, which was supported by the European Union, is a project within the framework of which we tried to promote the remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust and strengthen European civic culture, democracy, respect for human rights, and reflection on European cultural diversity and common values.
The closing conference will take place in the Synagogue Maribor (Židovska ulica 4) on Friday, 26 May 2023. The conference will start at 9:30 a.m.
The implemented project activities and the achieved goals will be presented at the conference by Boris Hajdinjak, director of the Synagogue Maribor, and Tanja Šimonka, head of the Department for Social Activities in the Municipality of Lendava.
After the conference, at 10:30 a.m., we invite you to the opening of the exhibition entitled A story of two transports. Jews in Međimurje and Prekmurje during the Holocaust. The documentary-museum exhibition will be opened on the same day also in the Synagogue Maribor.
